OBSESSION
a 3- part story
How social media plays a part in how human beings are.Focusing on the issue of beauty and self acceptance.
A human being,regardless of gender is unable to find their true self due to the standards that is being portrayed on the internet. How they are being tied up in other people's standard of beauty and not living up to their own.In the end,they have a beauty obsession that is difficult to break out of.One that takes control of the mind till it affects them negatively.

A story about a young girl who is obsessed with beauty.
For this image,the red ribbons represents her and how she is caught up with her own body and the standards of beauty that she is trying to achieve. Battling with her own self,not being able to be true due to her idea that the definition of beauty is perfection.It matters so much to her to the point that it affects her mental health.Being unable to just sit still,on a constant run to change things on herself to the point that she would break down.
Here,it shows an expression of her screaming due to the overwhelming pressure that she gets from herself to be what she define as "perfect".
She is someone who would do anything in order to feel like she is "perfect"This story stand very close in line with being overly insecure and unable to accept herself thus she is on a constant journey to meet impossible demands in order for her to eventually learn to accept herself.
For this image,I am inspired by being mad at her own self for being under the "standard" of what weight should be.In this picture,it can be seen that she is obsessed with her weight and size to the point that her expression shows frustration.She is mad and angry that she is a certain way.
In this picture,I decided to use measuring tape instead of a weighing scale as it is portable and very light thus in this story, it tells that she could and would bring the tapes anywhere with her,so that she can always check.I also used more than one measuring tape to show the severity of her obsession.

Continuing on with the story,this is the the last lap for her but just a beginning with her new face.In this picture,she decided that she needs to alter her whole face in order to, sadly be flawless.
For this image,I am inspired by how a person would go to the extent of going for surgery just to be "perfect".This image is paired up with a model type of pose to indicate how she feels that to be like "models",a plastic surgery is needed in order to meet all the standards of beauty and perfection.
The expression that she makes in this picture conveys the message that she is determined with what she wants, and 'this is just the begginning type of look' . The bandages on her face indicates that she is willing to sacrifice herself for beauty.Even if it will affect her on the long run,either negatively or positively.
